Laser Hair Removal
Laser Hair Removal Price Philippines: Sessions, Cost & Results
The useful price is not the cost of one flash session—it is the cost of completing the course. Here is how OPT hair removal pricing, intervals, shedding, maintenance, and skin-tone safety fit together.
The advertised price for hair removal is almost always per session. Your result, however, is built across a course.
That is the first piece of math to understand before comparing offers. A ₱499 trial that requires ten sessions may cost more than a carefully planned course elsewhere. A package is not automatically good value if it excludes your area, expires too quickly, or uses settings too low to create meaningful reduction.
This guide breaks down SOI’s OPT hair-removal price, why repeat sessions are necessary, and the questions that reveal the real cost.
OPT hair removal price at SOI Clinic
From ₱1,000 per session
Price varies by treatment area. A typical starting course is 6–8 sessions, commonly spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by occasional maintenance when needed.
First: OPT and laser are not technically identical
“Laser hair removal” has become the phrase people use for most clinic-based light hair reduction. SOI uses Optimal Pulse Technology, an advanced form of IPL.
A laser delivers a specific wavelength of coherent light. IPL or OPT uses a filtered range of wavelengths in controlled pulses. Both aim to heat melanin in the hair shaft and follicle while protecting surrounding skin.
Why does the distinction matter? Device quality, cooling, filters, pulse delivery, operator settings, and your skin-to-hair contrast all influence safety and performance. Shop for a responsible protocol, not just the word “laser.”
Why one session cannot finish the job
Hair grows in cycles. Light-based reduction works best when a follicle is in its active growth phase and the hair is still connected to it.
At any appointment, only part of the hair is in that responsive phase. The rest must cycle in later, which is why sessions are spaced rather than performed on consecutive days.
A typical course
| Appointment stage | What is happening |
|---|---|
| Session 1 | Responsive hairs are treated; shedding follows |
| Sessions 2–3 | New active-growth hairs enter the target window |
| Sessions 4–6 | Regrowth usually looks patchier, finer, and slower |
| Sessions 7–8 | Remaining resistant areas are refined |
| Maintenance | Hormonal or newly active growth is treated as needed |
This is a general pattern, not a promise. Face, underarms, Brazilian area, legs, and arms can respond differently.
How to estimate your actual budget
Ask the clinic for four numbers:
- The price for your exact area
- The recommended starting number of sessions
- The interval between visits
- The likely maintenance cost
Then calculate:
Per-session price × planned sessions = estimated initial course
At SOI’s starting price, six sessions begin at ₱6,000 and eight begin at ₱8,000, but larger or more complex areas cost more. Confirm the current area-specific quote during consultation.
Also ask whether a package:
- Expires before you can safely complete the intervals
- Includes a patch test and consultation
- Covers the full anatomical area you expect
- Allows schedule adjustments
- Includes or discounts maintenance
What happens at an appointment
Before the light treatment
The area is assessed for skin tone, hair color, irritation, medication, and recent tanning. A patch test may be used to judge reaction.
The hair should be shaved, not waxed or plucked. Shaving leaves the follicle target beneath the skin; waxing removes it.
During treatment
A handpiece delivers controlled pulses across the area. Most people describe warmth or a light elastic-band snap. Comfort varies by body area, hair density, settings, and individual sensitivity.
After treatment
Temporary warmth or redness can occur. The treated hairs do not vanish instantly; many shed over the following one to two weeks.
The preparation rules that protect your money
- Shave around the day before, following your provider’s instruction.
- Do not wax, thread, tweeze, or epilate for several weeks beforehand.
- Avoid tanning and significant sun exposure before treatment.
- Arrive without deodorant, perfume, body oil, or lotion on the area.
- Disclose photosensitizing medication and recent skincare procedures.
- Reschedule if the area is sunburned, injured, or actively infected.
If the follicle has been waxed out, there is less useful pigment to target. If skin is tanned, there is more competing pigment, which can raise the risk of burns or color change.
Morena skin and light-based hair reduction
The ideal target is dark hair against lighter skin because the device can distinguish hair pigment from skin pigment more easily. That does not mean every morena client is automatically excluded. It means assessment, device capability, cooling, and settings become more important.
Be cautious if a provider:
- Promises the same setting for every skin tone
- Treats freshly tanned skin without concern
- Skips questions about medication or sun exposure
- Guarantees zero risk of pigmentation
- Markets permanent removal of every hair
Hair that is grey, white, very pale blonde, or some shades of red contains little melanin and usually responds poorly to pigment-targeting light.
Results: reduction, not magical erasure
After a successful course, expect fewer hairs, slower return, finer texture, and less frequent shaving. Ingrown hairs and razor irritation often improve because there is less coarse regrowth.
Hormonal changes, pregnancy, menopause, polycystic ovary syndrome, some medication, and age can activate new growth later. Maintenance is not proof that the course failed; biology keeps moving.
Our honest verdict
OPT is most valuable for someone tired of the endless cost and irritation of shaving or waxing—and willing to complete a properly spaced course. Judge an offer by the total plan, skin-safety assessment, and realistic reduction expected, not by the cheapest first session.
OPT vs waxing over time
| OPT hair reduction | Waxing | |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | Long-term reduction | Temporary removal |
| Schedule | Course, then occasional upkeep | Repeated every few weeks |
| Between visits | Shaving is allowed | Hair must grow long enough to wax |
| Ingrown hairs | Often reduce as growth falls | Can continue or worsen |
| Cost pattern | Higher upfront, lower later | Recurring indefinitely |
